Message from Rev. Leslie St. Louis, Tuesday December 10, 2019

Dear Holy Trinity Members and Friends,

Many of you are aware that the vestry was to meet this evening. Thank you all for your heartfelt prayers, they have surrounded us and buoyed us as we have worked to discern the will of God. I am pleased to share with you that the vestry has decided to reverse the decision to close Holy Trinity at the end of December and will instead remain open and continuing operations as Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and Day School. The vestry believes that this is a faithful decision and in the best interest of both the church and our ministry Holy Trinity Episcopal Church School.

What’s next? The Holy Spirit is surely hovering over us at this time and just as Mary answered the Holy Spirit with the words “let it be,” so I think we make the same response. Let us for the moment, gather under the shadow of the Holy Spirit, come together to worship in these anticipatory days of Advent and rejoice in the birth of Emmanuel, God with us on Christmas Eve.

There will be time in the light of the New Year to determine the fullness of the path forward as the Body of Christ that is Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and School. For now let us rejoice and bask in the love of our God who remains with us….always.

In Christ,

Rev. Leslie
